relentless pursuit of self-mastery

About Us

WHAT MAKES comal active DIFFERENT?

At Comal Active we endeavor to live a fit lifestyle. We understand that personal fitness is a daily practice- and not a quick fix. The usual suspects- fad diets, treadmills and weight machines don’t work. So, we’ve replaced them with constantly-varied functional movements, modern day nutrition practices and group accountability. People join Comal Active to transform their body image and sharpen their mental fortitude so they can seek-out new challenges, enjoy exciting adventures and be free to explore new boundaries. We teach our athletes how to move effectively inside the gym so they can have enjoyable life experiences while outside. We only train movements that are used in everyday life, and the tools we use are just as common: weights, kettlebells, barbells, ropes, pull-up bars, bikes, rowers and gymnastics mats are just to name a few.

Comal Active is a dedicated full-time strength & conditioning club, and the home of Comal CrossFit – the first CrossFit facility in Comal County. Our members will describe Comal Active as their “happy place” where they can take pause from their daily burdens and focus on bettering themselves – even if just for an hour or so. Lots of great memories are made here every day.

About:

What I love most about coaching at Comal Active is helping athletes/ customers realize their potential and ability.  Through the accomplishments and successes athletes have doing CrossFit, you can teach people to doubt their own personal doubts and go after things they thought were too hard or challenging to accomplish.  Nothing beats the look on an athlete’s face when they do something they thought was too hard or impossible.
